Momento
The act of collecting is innate to human nature, providing a means to remember and reconnect with a particular person, place, or event. In response to the theme of 'survival', my project explores the preservation of both memories and the objects themselves. Momento is a digital platform and publication which will act as a collective memory box where people can anonymously upload and share stories about objects sentimental to them.
Throughout our lives, we collect and treasure numerous objects that may seem insignificant or mundane to others, yet these objects hold so many personal memories and emotions within them. Gaining a glimpse into a stranger’s life, Momento aids in helping people find connection with others through sharing stories of different emotion-linked themes such as nostalgia, comfort or love.
